For The Culture Counselling

Therapy that reaches the communities that need it

For the Culture Counselling is a Therapy Rebels project focused on making emotional support more accessible to marginalised and minoritised communities.

We partner with community organisations, charities, CICs and grassroots spaces that are already supporting, representing and advocating for their communities.

Together, we seek funding to bring free counselling and emotional support directly into the spaces where people already feel connected.

The shape of that support can look different in every community. We start by listening: what does your community need, what would genuinely be useful, and how can therapy work alongside the support and relationships that already exist?

Our partnerships might support

  • Black and Global Majority communities
  • LGBTQIA+ communities
  • Neurodivergent people
  • Disabled people
  • Refugees and migrant communities
  • People experiencing socioeconomic disadvantage

…and other communities that face barriers to accessing therapy and wellbeing support.

Our free counselling pathway

For The Culture Counselling is our free counselling pathway, created to open up access for people who have been excluded from, overlooked by, or haven’t always felt represented within traditional mental health spaces.

Help us to make it happen

Every contribution puts more free support into communities

Alongside seeking grants and partnership funding, we will actively raise money for For the Culture Counselling through fundraising events, campaigns and crowdfunders. Every contribution helps us put more free emotional support into communities and create more opportunities for people to access therapy in ways that feel relevant to their lives.
